World View on Secular Humanism

Secular humanism, though viewed as a religious passion especially by the intellectual and judicial members of the society, its premise teaches us that the human beings are independent agent who is not govern by any deity. He can decide for himself, and can do what ever he pleases as long as he does not violate the law. This paper will explore the influence of secular humanism on various domains as seen in the chart below.

Life DomainsWorld view
Money and CareerFor secular humanism the most important in life is primarily to seek money. Citing the secular humanists concern, Ballard (1989) stated The values and ideals of the average modern man, who seeks primarily money and influence and has no end in view other doing what ever happens to feel like doing, must have descended to him directly (p. 280). Secular humanists care about money and influence.

Sexuality DomainSecular humanist view on sexuality has been very liberal and they see it as a source of pleasure. They teach about sex even among very young children. Secular humanists depersonalize the possibility of true intimacy and treats sexual partners as mere objects who can be abandoned when, for one reason or another, they are no longer the source of pleasure (Ashley, DeBlois,  ORourke 2006, p. 66).

Family Life DomainSecular humanist supports same sex marriages and promotes ant-woman anti- marriage attitude. Kurtz (2010) argued, secular humanist today would recognize marriages between two individuals, no matter what their gender. Mature adults should be permitted to work out their own living arrangements, and if they choose to join together should enjoy the same rights  Obviously secular humanist is more concern on the right for pleasure that the traditional value of the statement such for better or for worse, in health and in sickness, and tell death do us part.

Friends and comparison to Christianity
Secular humanism is the opposite of Christianity. Secular humanism places man on the center and he is in absolute control of himself, of any thing, of the future, and practically of everything that he wished. It is totally anti-God, anti-morality, and anti-family. Christianity on the other hand teaches that God is the absolute divine being who created the heavens and the earth and everything there in including the human being. Christianity teaches all human beings have sinned against God and there deserve Gods punishment, as well as life after death. Based on this comparison, Christianity encourages spirituality, while secular humanism encourages immorality, violence, and chaos.

Conclusion
It is very clear based on the life domains that secular humanism provides a negative impact on the American society, such as the proliferation of premarital sex among very young people, increasing rates of divorce, domestic violence and other misfortunes. It is therefore necessary that the public critically examine the notions behind this legally declared religion.
