How can we be Confident that Jesus is Returning

The origin can not be traced to a definite period of time it has been in practice for millions and millions of years. Religion is the philosophy of life and a way of belief, it defines who you are and also your views in relation to different aspects of life. It through religion that we are able to appreciate the past, understand the present and have hope for a better future.

According to Pillai (2009), there are more than four thousand and two regions in the world each of them has its own beliefs and unique practices. Most of the worlds population however practices only a handful of these religions. These common religions are Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism and Buddhism. One similarity is that they all believe in God as the creator of the universe and mankind. This is despite the fact that the followers of these religions have different ways of praising and worshiping God.

Purpose of the Paper
The purpose of this paper is to focus on of the most popular religion in the world  Christianity. Christians trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. They believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God and he was sent by God to die and resurrect for the sins of man. Christians also believe that after resurrection, Jesus Christ went to Heaven and He will return one day.  This paper will therefore seek to answer the question, How can we be confident that Jesus Christ is returning
The paper will site examples from the Holy Book to argue out where its true that Jesus Christ will return one day to take away His people, those who have been righteous and have lived in the ways of the Lord.

Is Jesus Christ Returning
According to the Holy Bible, it is written in Revelation 17 that Behold, He cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see Him. These are the words spoken by Jesus Christ Himself to pass a message to the people that He will return someday.

Jesus Christ also warned that, before His return, there will be a lot of prophets of who will prophesize the return of the son of God (The Book of Mathew, Chap 24). This has come to pass by the increase of fall prophets, of who perform miracles in the name of Jesus. These false prophets are found in every corner of the universe and each of them has different predictions of the return of the son of God. As a result of this, the number of cults and religious groups that are all waiting for the end of the world.

Supporting Scriptures
The Bible has different chapters and verses that clearly indicate that Jesus Christ will return, and this has given most Christian hope of a better eternal life. A life where suffering and misery will be a thing of the past, a life where corruption, criminal activities, tribalism and discrimination will be no more. A life of peace and calmness is what true Christian hope to have when Jesus returns. Let us take a look at some of the scriptures that support this

The Bible clearly state that the son of God, Jesus Christ will not return from land but He will descend from heaven For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air (I Thessalonians 416, 17). This chapter illustrates the way Jesus will return, He will return accompanied by angels who will be singing songs of praise and worship, the dead will arise and together will go back to Heaven with the Jesus for eternal life, forever and ever.

In the book of Matthew 2423-27, Jesus warns His disciples and the world that his no one knows the day or time when He will come, the book says that For as the lightning flashes from the East, and flashes to the West, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Therefore the Bible argues all real Christians to never stop praying and believing that one day the son of God will return. The Bible also tells us of the false Christ, he who will come with pretence to save the world, many scholars and religious leaders have tried to answer the question, who the false Christ and how does he look like

Who is the False Christ
Matthew 48-10 and II Corinthians 11 13, 14 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the Apostles of Christ. And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. The devil is with us, we interact with the devil on a daily basis. The devil is in the church in form of the false prophets of doom. The preachers who make their followers sell their property and give them cash in the name of supporting the work of God. In the end they enrich themselves at the expense of the poor flocks. The devil is that preacher who will stage a miracle in the eyes of the world in order to win over followers and this translates to more financial gain.

The End of Times
It is common to go to a church and find churches where there are statues and other idols that people worship and give offering too. They do this in pretend of giving to the Lord but in real sense they are worship the devil. These are some of the things that the Bible tells us they signs of the end of times. The book of revelation, which is the last book in the Bible, has extensively covers sign that tell us about the end of the world, for instance Revelation 14 9-11states that If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark, he himself shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God.

The return of Jesus will be joy and triumph for the believers but for the non believers it will a day for mourning and gnashing of teeth since they will be toasted in blazing fire that will burn them forever.
Summation

Conclusion
Different religions have different views and options when it comes to the prediction of the end of world and the coming back of the Lord. This is because not all of them believe in the teachings of the Christians, however for Christians this is the back bone of the religion and what they believe in.
Preachers will preacher, prophets will predict the past, present and future but when it comes to salvation and believes its the individual who decide. The coming of Jesus has been prophesized for many years, however the coming of Jesus starts with the individual by accepting and believing that Jesus Christ was crucified, buried and on the third day he resurrected and ascended to Heaven.
As an individual accepting Jesus as your personal savior and baptism is another way of preparing one self for the coming of the Messiah. Only if you are saved and believe
